Tickets are available now for the 20th annual Dinner and Auction hosted by the Jefferson Rotary Club. The gala will be Friday evening, Nov. 9, in the Greene Room at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson.
Since 1999, the annual event has raised more than $540,000 that has supported programs for local schools and youth, community projects, and the humanitarian projects of Rotary International and Rotary District 6000.
“The dinner and auction have become a much-anticipated social event each November,” said auction chair Joel Williams. “It’s a chance to get together with friends, enjoy a delicious dinner, and raise money for worthwhile community causes. There’s a wide variety of items on both the silent auction and the live auction, and with professional auctioneer Dave Whitaker returning for another auction, we know it will be a fun evening.”
This year’s buffet dinner will feature prime rib and chicken, with several sides and tempting desserts. As in previous years, there will be complimentary wine on the tables.
A social hour, games of chance and bidding on the silent auction will begin at 5:30 pm. The buffet will start at 6:30 and the live auction will follow. Bidding on silent auction items will begin when doors open and continue through the evening.
Highlights of the live auction will be an African safari and a one-week stay in a condo in Hawaii. There will be tickets for sporting events, travel get-aways, entertainment, gift certificates for services by local professionals and much more.
